About Claire

Claire knows what it's like to struggle during a time when everything is "supposed" to be perfect, because she's lived it herself.

As both a therapist and a mother, Claire brings not just clinical training, but deep personal understanding to her work with expecting and new parents. She specializes in the mental health challenges that emerge during pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood: the ones that often go unspoken but never unfelt.

Who Claire Works With

Parents and Expecting Parents navigating:

  • Pregnancy and postpartum anxiety or depression

  • Birth trauma and perinatal loss

  • Identity shifts during the transition to parenthood

  • Relationship strain when you need each other most

  • The gap between expectation and reality

  • Intrusive thoughts that feel scary or shameful

  • Feeling "fine" on the outside while quietly unraveling

You Might Be Feeling:

✓ Anxious in a way that feels sharper, more intrusive, harder to shake
✓ Disconnected from your body, your baby, or yourself
✓ Grieving the birth experience you didn't get
✓ Carrying guilt about not feeling the "right" way
✓ Overwhelmed by thoughts you're afraid to say out loud
✓ Wondering if asking for help means you're not cut out for this

If you're reading this and thinking "Yes. That's exactly how I feel", take a breath.

You’re not alone.

Claire's Approach

Steady. Relational. Zero judgment.

Claire's sessions offer a safe space where you can finally exhale and make sense of what you're going through. She understands that asking for help, especially when everything seems fine from the outside, is one of the hardest things you'll do. And she'll hold space for all of it.

Claire draws from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), CBT, DBT, Polyvagal Theory and Family Systems Therapy to create real relief, not just coping strategies. Her work is focused on helping you feel seen, especially when life feels uncertain or overwhelming.

You don't need someone to tell you "it gets easier."

You need someone who can help you navigate what you're going through today: with compassion, clinical skill, and deep understanding of the perinatal experience.

More Than Just Her Work

Outside of her practice, Claire finds her own grounding through squash, cycling, and family adventures. She brings the same dedication to presence, joy, and balance that she offers her clients, because she knows firsthand that thriving through this season requires support, not perfection.

Availability

Claire is currently accepting new clients for in-person sessions in Marda Loop (Calgary) and virtual sessions across Alberta.

If you're in a season where the reality doesn't match the expectation, where you're doing everything "right" but still struggling, Claire would be honoured to walk alongside you.College of Alberta Psychologists #P7698
