Their mind still gets in the way.
Athletes train strength, speed, skill and technique.
But pressure can change everything.A mistake gets them stuck. Their body tightens. They overthink, hesitate or shut down. And then they find themselves unable to access the ability you know is there. Overcoming that is a trainable psychological skill.

FAQs
-
While this program is led by a Registered Psychologist, it’s designed as mental skills coaching specifically aimed at enhancing athletic performance. The focus is on mindset development, emotional regulation, focus, and resilience—helping your athlete perform their best when it matters most. The key difference is that it’s not focused on treating mental health conditions, but rather on optimizing mental performance. An added benefit of working with a psychologist is that your athlete will have the space to explore and process any experiences or challenges that may be getting in their way, if and when it feels relevant. When we process the barriers that hold us back, we move forward with more confidence and clarity.
Think of it as mental fitness training—just like physical conditioning for the body, it's an ongoing investment in your athlete’s long-term mental wellness and performance.
-
Absolutely not! This program is for all athletes, regardless of whether they’re facing mental health challenges. Many of the athletes we work with are already healthy, competitive, and excelling in their sport. They come to us seeking that extra mental edge to improve their performance, boost their confidence, enhance their focus, and build resilience. It’s about creating a foundation of mental wellness that will support them in the here and now and throughout their athletic and personal life.
-
That’s completely normal! The first session is all about building trust, understanding your athlete’s unique goals, and making sure they feel comfortable with the process. We keep things engaging, interactive, and fun. We want them to feel empowered and excited to dive in. This is about developing a positive mental training routine that will serve them both on and off the ice, now and in the future.
