Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 22, 2026

Core Psychology ("we", "us") is a private psychology and counselling practice at 2032 33 Ave SW #205, Calgary, Alberta, operated by Core Psychology and Consulting Corp. We take the privacy of our clients and website visitors seriously. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we protect it. We follow Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and the standards of practice of our clinicians' regulatory bodies, including the College of Alberta Psychologists.

What we collect

  • Website contact and booking forms: your name, email, phone number, and anything you choose to tell us about what you're looking for. Please share only what you're comfortable with. Don't include detailed health information in a web form.

  • Booking: appointments are booked through Jane App, our practice-management system. Jane collects the information needed to schedule, bill and keep clinical records, under its own privacy and security practices.

  • Clinical records: if you become a client, your clinician keeps records as required by their professional standards.

  • Newsletter: your email address, if you sign up. You can unsubscribe at any time.

  • Website analytics and cookies: our website (hosted by Squarespace) and tools such as Google Analytics may collect technical information like your browser, pages visited and approximate location. You can control cookies in your browser settings.

How we use it

  • To respond to your inquiry and arrange appointments.

  • To provide, document and bill for services.

  • To send our newsletter, and text or email reminders, if you have agreed to them.

  • To improve our website.

We do not sell your personal information.

When we share it

We share personal information only with your consent, or as permitted or required by law. Examples include a risk of serious harm, child protection concerns, or a court order. We also share it with service providers that help us run the practice, such as Jane App, Squarespace and email or text providers, under appropriate safeguards. Some providers may store information outside Alberta or Canada.

How we protect it

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards. Clinical records are kept in secure, access-controlled systems. They are retained for the period required by our clinicians' professional standards, then securely destroyed.

Your rights

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw consent for optional uses such as the newsletter. Contact our Privacy Officer at info@corepsychology.com or 403-488-8912. If you have concerns we can't resolve, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.

Changes

We may update this policy. The current version will always be posted on this page.
