ABOUT JESSE

You know the gap between where you are and what you're capable of. Let's close it.

Many of the people Jesse works with feel a disconnect between their current reality and the life they know they're built for. Whether it's the weight of anxiety, the complexities of navigating neurodivergence, or the identity shifts that come with life transitions; parenthood, the end of an athletic career, a relationship at a turning point, it's easy to feel stuck, overwhelmed, and unsure of the next step.

Jesse is a Registered Provisional Psychologist who views therapy as a true collaborative partnership. He brings your expertise in your own life alongside his clinical training, and together you build practical mental tools and strategies tailored specifically to your goals and values. He doesn’t use a generic playbook. He leans into focused, evidence-based work that moves you forward.

What makes Jesse's perspective distinct is his 15-year background as a former NCAA, professional, and international lacrosse athlete and coach. He understands the nuances of peak performance, athletic identity, and the high-pressure environments his clients navigate, not just clinically, but from having lived them. That insight directly shapes how he works.

A DISTINCT PERSPECTIVE

What 15 years in the arena brings to the therapy room

Jesse's clinical work is uniquely informed by his lived experience of high performance under pressure. As a former NCAA, professional, and international lacrosse athlete, and later as a coach, he has navigated the identity demands of competitive sport, the psychological weight of performance expectations, and the disorienting transition out of elite competition.

THERAPEUTIC APPROACH

How Jesse works, in session and beyond

Jesse uses an integrative, evidence-based approach, selecting and combining methods based on what each client brings. Here's what that looks like in practice.

CBT

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

In session, this looks like examining the stories your mind tells you under stress, and testing them against what's actually true. Over time, you'll build new thought habits that hold up when pressure builds.

ACT

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy

ACT helps you stop fighting your internal experience and start moving toward what genuinely matters. Jesse uses this approach to help clients clarify their values and take committed action even in the presence of difficult thoughts and feelings.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing

EMDR is an evidence-based approach for processing traumatic memories and reducing their emotional charge. In session, it uses bilateral stimulation to help the brain reprocess experiences that have become stuck, often producing significant shifts in fewer sessions than traditional talk therapy.

SFT · Mindfulness

Solution-Focused & Mindfulness-Based Work

Solution-focused therapy builds on what's already working rather than dwelling on what isn't. This is useful for clients who want efficient, forward-moving change. Mindfulness practices are woven in to support regulation, presence, and sustained clarity.
