Tasha Chapman

Calgary Counselling

Practicum Psychotherapist

Tasha is a strong believer that the stories we tell ourselves shape our identity and potential for growth. She is a passionate clinician dedicated to guiding individuals and couples through their unique journeys of self-discovery and transformation.

In her practice, Tasha embraces a client-centered and multifaceted approach, drawing from various therapeutic modalities. By actively promoting radical acceptance, self-compassion, and a growth mindset, she aims to help you create narratives that lead to positive, lasting change. Many of us grapple with self-doubt and the pressures of daily life, often neglecting our own needs. Together, you will have the opportunity to explore and rewrite the narratives that no longer serve you, aligning them with your values and aspirations.

Her therapeutic approaches include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy (NT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), and the Gottman Method for couples. Grounded in sound relationship principles, her work with couples focuses on fostering communication, intimacy, and mutual understanding.

Currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University, her professional background includes valuable experiences at PACE Community Support, Sexual Assault & Trauma Centre, and the Caribou Child & Youth Centre. Through this, she has gained a profound understanding of the impact of crisis and trauma and the importance of reclaiming fragmented aspects of ourselves.

Tasha specializes in working with teens, adults, and couples facing challenges, including; anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, parenting, interpersonal skills, emotional regulation, communication, and relationship skills.

Beyond the therapy room, Tasha is an avid traveler, hiker, and fitness enthusiast. Her passion for gardening and crochet reflects her belief in the therapeutic power of creative outlets.

Tasha is devoted to creating a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your narratives, develop effective coping skills, and work toward your goals with confidence and purpose.

Remember, "Your life is your story. Write well. Edit often." – Susan Statham.
